Development of a variety of products to meet the needs of foreign companies
Wonkang Co., Ltd. (CEO Kang Tae-young) was selected as a beneficiary of the 2023 Busan Global Export Star Company Promotion Project organized by Busan Techno Park.
This project aims to boost companies' global expansion by supporting customized packages for each export capability of small and medium-sized enterprises in Busan.
WONKANG ROADBIT aims to grow more than 160% year-on-year through this support.
The support includes up to 20 million won in overseas standard certification costs, up to 3 million won in overseas buyer visits and invitations, and up to 7 million won in export conditional product improvement costs.
Through this support, it plans to proceed with additional overseas standard certification, introduce production facilities by inviting various overseas buyers to Korea, and use it to develop various products that meet the requests of overseas companies.
Wonkang and its sister company Wonkang tungsten are expected to further solidify their position as export growth companies, while continuing their role as major companies that can achieve direct export growth among small and medium-sized companies in Busan.
Wonkang and Wonkang tungsten are local companies in Busan that specialize in developing and producing equipment and parts for underground continuous wall work, and have grown with their sister companies Wonkang tungsten and Eugene Direction Development Industries for more than 34 years.
It has completed performance verification at more than 450 underground continuous wall foundation sites worldwide. Product brands include Roadbit and KTNG. Cutter teeth, Cutting Wheel, Mudpump, etc. are compatible with Bauer's BC32, BC35, and BC40 equipment in Germany. The product is 100% compatible with global trench cutter equipment such as Bauer. ISO9001 and CE certification were obtained for stable quality control.
It is also active in entering the global market. It plans to enter more markets by securing new overseas markets and various marketing strategies using overseas exhibitions, media, and networks. It is targeting markets in 15 countries, including Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Middle East. It has participated in two exhibitions, the 2022 BAUMA in Germany and the 2023 CONEXPO in Las Vegas, USA, to strengthen its position in the global market.
The goal is to accelerate its entry into the global market by pioneering new overseas markets and raising brand awareness through strategic marketing activities. In December, he plans to participate in the Dubai BIG5 and the Intermat exhibition in Paris in April 2024.
